This 2-day medium difficulty trekking adventure takes you through the stunning jungle scenery with great landscapes and interaction with local rural village life.  Staying overnight in one of the small family home-stays you will get to share life and get to know the real Lao countryside before arriving at the beautiful Tad Sae Waterfall.

DETAILED ITINERARY:

• Departing from your hotel your Private Guide will transfer you by private air conditioned vehicle starting from Luang Prabang, drive approximately 30 minutes outside of town where your trekking tour will begin. 

• Continue trekking into the mountainous Lao countryside. Whilst Hiking for approximately 2 hours (medium difficulty) you will pass through forest and rice fields before reaching the Khmu village of Ban Houay Yen where you will spend the night in a local home-stay learning about this largest minority group in Laos.

• Enjoy a local style dinner and breakfast the following morning.

• The following day continue trekking through the stunning jungle scenery for a further 2 hours before reaching Tad Sae Waterfall.

• Enjoy lunch at Tad Sae Waterfall (not included)

• After your hike you may wish to cool off by taking a refreshing swim in the pools at the base of the falls or relax in the shade.

• Tad Sae Waterfall is also home to a small elephant camp.  Feel free to purchase some bananas and get up close to feed them.  You may prefer to opt to spend an hour bathing them in the waterfall and/or riding them off into the jungle * Note: Elephant experiences can be decided upon reaching Tad Sae and payable directly to the camp.

• Take a local boat to cross to the opposite side of the river where your private air conditioned vehicle will meet you at the village to transfer you back to your chosen hotel in Luang Prabang
