Authentic Laos Travel believe that when visiting a place, it is important to not only feel, see, learn and experience, but to also give something back. Many of our clients have asked how they can help to support local communities and in particular local village schools which can be observed on many of our tours.
Authentic Laos Travel is committed to supporting and promoting education throughout Laos and believes that all children should be given the opportunity to learn at school in a safe environment. For this reason we have chosen the charity 'School for Kids in Laos' www.sklinc.org a specialist registered charity which builds schools in poor remote areas of Laos.

CLASSROOM
Lack of a sound educational infrastructure is a barrier to learning. Your donation will help provide these Lao children with the essentials for creating the best possible learning environment.

WATER SUPPLY
Your donation will help improve the quality of life for children in this community by contributing to a clean water supply system. Your donation of fresh water means improved health and hygiene.

ELECTRICAL SUPPLY
Your donation will help provide electrical power to the school. Electricity means the school can also be used for community meetings after school hours!

FURNITURE
Your donation will help furnish the school with student benches and desks, teachers' desks and chairs, and the very important chalk boards - so necessary for learning!

SANITARY WASHROOMS
The lack of sanitation and hygiene facilities in schools has a stronger negative impact on girls than on boys. Girls need safe, clean, private sanitation facilities in their schools. Your donation will be helping provide a healthy environment for these young students.

TEXTBOOKS
How can children learn without textbooks? Your donation will help ensure students receive the books they need to successfully progress in school.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Your donation will help provide the fundamental materials students need to succeed in school. Provides notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, rulers, staplers, scissors, etc. for the school.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT
When recess comes, your donation will make sure these students get the exercise they need to balance their mental exertions! Provides soccer balls, skipping ropes, badminton sets, frisbees and more!

PLANT A TREE
Trees in a school yard improve air quality, provide shade and can reduce temperatures in warm climates by 10 degrees F. Students will take pride in watching their trees grow.
