DETAILED ITINERARY:

  • You will be met at the lobby of your chosen hotel.  From here we will begin your tour by private air conditioned vehicle driving the UXO Visitors centre to obtain information about the 'secret war' of Laos and how Laos became the most heavily bombed country during the Vietnam war 1964 - 1973.  At this visitors centre survival stories are told around the wars, bombs from the war are on display and there is also a moving documentary to watch.

  • Next pay a visit to the National Museum, the Former Royal palace which was built 1904-1909 by the French Architect and was a gift from the French to our last king of Laos.  Within the museum there are many Royal artifacts and each piece tells a story so you will learn a lot about Lao History and Lao Royals.

  • The final stop is a visit to the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre (TAEC) the museum is a dedication to the preservation on the arts and culture of Laos' diverse ethnic groups.

  • The tour ends where you have the choice to either stay in the town or be transferred back to your hotel.
