DETAILED ITINERARY:

  • You will be met by your private local guide at a meeting point in the town centre where you will then enjoy drinks whilst watching the sunset over the Mekong River.   

  • Take a leisurely walk through the streets of Luang Prabang visiting street food stalls where your guide will explain the dishes, ingredients and how they are prepared before giving you the opportunity to sample some of the dishes should you wish.  

  • The evening ends at the local Night Market where you are free to walk around the many stalls selling traditional Laos textiles and gifts for some souvenir shopping.

 

Some of the foods to try include:

  • Khao Soi - Type of spicy noodle soup made with flat noodles

  • Sai Oua - Spicy Lao sausage  

  • Khaonom Krok - Coconut pancakes made of sticky rice powder and coconut milk.
