Luang Prabang is located among some incredible natural surroundings. Venture out to discover the Picturesque Kuang-Si Waterfalls.  Prior to visiting the falls stop at the Free The Bears Rescue Centre to learn about the work of this rescue charity.  Enjoy a short hike in the national park before arriving at the falls for a swim.  Upon returning to Luang Prabang stop at the Buffalo Dairy Farm, take a tour of the farm and enjoy locally made Buffalo milk ice-cream.

DETAILED ITINERARY:

  • You will be met at the lobby of your chosen hotel.  From here we will begin your tour by private air conditioned vehicle

  • Upon arrival in the National Park visit Free The Bears to learn about their successful rescue charity in Laos.  Have the opportunity to prepare food for the bears. Please Note. Contact with the bears is not possible as they are rescued wild animals. 

  • We will then take a leisurely hike through the national park towards Kuang- Si Waterfalls.

  • Enjoy feeling the mist of the cool, turquoise waters of the different waterfalls.

  • Return to the pools at the bottom of the falls where you can enjoy a refreshing swim if you wish.

  • On the return journey to Luang Prabang stop at the Buffalo Dairy Farm, a social enterprise.  Visit the farm and learn about the dairy process and how this Social Enterprise supports locals with a regular income.

  • End your visit with Buffalo Dairy ice-cream and snacks if you wish.

  • Transfer back to your hotel by private vehicle.

  • Kuang Si Waterfalls can get crowded during weekends therefore it is advised to visit during weekdays where possible.  

  • Swimming is possible, although the water temperature between November - January is very cool.

  • It is recommended to wear proper walking attire.
